Mission 1:8 with First Dallas

Based on Jesus’s final charge to His disciples in Acts 1:8, Mission 1:8 with First Dallas seeks to transform the world with God’s Word one life at a time. We will produce resources that help you to abide in the Lord each day and more fully conform your life to reflect Jesus Christ in all things. We’ll also talk about the strategy and vision of our church, so you can put this into practice as you serve and lead here. We hope each episode will encourage you with biblical truth and equip you to live a bold, gospel-centered life!

This episode is a sermon from Dr. Ben Lovvorn on 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1, preached at First Baptist Dallas on May 17, 2026. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to imitate Christ in everything we do. A Christlike life glorifies God, prioritizes others, and advances the gospel. When our lives look like His, others can follow our example. In this episode, you will be challenged to ask yourself—is your life worth emulating?
